"Tom Thumb Suite" is a programmatic work based on the old folk tale of Tom Thumb. While each movement's title describes the story, the quartet includes program notes to give more detail - and can be optionally read as narration between movements. This suite will give percussionists the chance to explore the world of multi-percussion. While the quartet is centered on Xylophone, 2 Marimbas, and Vibraphone, each player is given the opportunity to use various other accessory instruments to help paint the picture.
